Grandpa (Al)Bert shares a moment with his newest grandchild Ian Albert. 

Ian gets his first house guests: "Auntie" Kramer (Nancy to those that don't know her well) and "Auntie" Marie. Not only did they bring the whole family some delicious middle eastern food, they also brought presents for Ian (which was not necessary as they had both gotten him presents before he was born at Kara's baby shower).

Welcome Ian Albert van den Heuvel!

On March 28th, 2006, at 2:30am Ian Albert van den Heuvel was born to Kara Malenfant and Dirk van den Heuvel. While we were hoping for a home birth, it was not to be. However, the baby and mother are both healthy and well and that's what matters.

Ian Albert van den Heuvel was born 7lbs. 4 oz. His sign is Aries (just like his grandpa Albert).

His birth was attended by Kara's parents Albert and Judith, her best friend Julie, and our doula Natalie Evans.
